On Tuesday, June 7, 2022, the director of the Wema Centre Trust-Madam Lucy Yinda, had the honor to present her book ‘Courage is a Calling-Saving Mombasa’s Street Children’ to Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Republic of Kenya Margaret Kenyatta. Madam Lucy Yinda, accompanied by the publishers Crimson Communications Limited (James Chunguli and team), Stevie Kafwihi, Janet Middah, Susan Akinyi, and six current Wema Children were able to not only present the book to Her Excellency but to also perform two songs and a Shairi for those present.
It was an honor and a privilege to share Wema’s history, stories, and talent with the First Lady and her team at State House. It was a day we shall not soon forget.
