Lessons learned from children scouts clubs that have been previously supported by Wema Centre proved that such clubs & its curriculum indeed are medium of constructive engagement with the children/youth.
We began the club in Mwakirunge on April 2014, and at the Wema Centre in October 2014; which has resulted in an amazing reception by the children who have take it to heart and enjoy it. We believe activities that foster team work, discipline and self confidence in ones abilities are essential in delivering an effective rehabilitation programme.
The scout clubs help to impart life skills and knowledge on how to cope and resolve drug addiction, peer pressure, adolescence; emotional problems create awareness on the HIV/AIDS, STIs and environment conservation
