Wemathon 2022!

The Wemathon 2022 event went down in epic style at the Butterfly Pavillion Forest Trails on Saturday, 29th October 2022. The crowd, which was made up of participants from our corporate sponsors to school going children, passed the vibe check and made the fun day the success that it was.

Of course, it would not be a marathon without the much loved promotional gear-read event t-shirts. Trust me guys, these were not the t-shirts that end up getting delegated to the pajamas role after the event, and we have the following companies to thank for the aforementioned drip: Premium Energy Kenya, Coca-cola Coastal bottlers, Mombasa Maize Miller’s, Kitui Flour Mills and Inuka Arika Properties limited.

Also, water is life and Komax Investments Limited ensured that all our participants had bottles and bottles of water to stay hydrated from-specifically, 2,000 bottles of water :).

And we are back to the crowd/participants, the people who breath life into the Wemathon through their financial support. We would like to appreciate the following schools for rallying their students to support street connected children to access education, health and nutrition: Shree Swaminarayan Academy, Mombasa Academy, Olivine School, Greenwood Groove International School, St. Joseph Herman Marx and Educaid Academy.

Corporate Sponsors:

Silver Sponsors: Supply Linkages Ltd, Venus Tea Brokers Ltd, Freight Forwarders Kenya and Transeast Limited.

Bronze Sponsors: Kikwetu Flowers Ltd and Alba Petroleum.

Corporate Sponsors: DTB Bank, DFS Express Line, Zola East Africa Ltd, Habib Bank AG Zurich, Afro Teas Ltd and National Bank of Kenya.

Other Sponsors: Alltech Industries Ltd, BAC Engineering and Architecture Ltd, TJ Trendy’s, Mabati Rolling Mills and Dr. Ong’etch.

Award Sponsors: Where would we be without our sponsors from Ideal Appliances Ltd who provided the gifts for the children who raised the most money and Kikwetu Flowers Ltd who provides the shield for the school that raised the most money (Shree Swaminarayan) for the #Wemathon2022 from various schools. The winner categories are as follows:

Viaan Dodhia from Mombasa Academy who raised 100,000.00 won a MIKA Nutriblast

Naz Habib from Shree Swamirayan who raised 17,150.00 won a MIKA Citrus Juicer

Margaret Ochieng from Olivine School who raised 14,000.00 won a MIKA Nano Ionic Steamer

A big thank you to everyone who supported Wema during the Wemathon 2022 and May God bless and reward you mightily. For those who missed, we hope to see you next year at the Wemathon 2023.
