The Secondary Education Support program targets street-connected youth by identifying and enrolling them in formal public secondary schools. They are also given educational materials, uniforms, shoes, and assistance with school fees (if required), boarding fees (if necessary), upkeep funds, and transportation arrangements.
Formal secondary education is considerably more costly; thus, a cost-sharing plan among involved parties is strongly encouraged whenever feasible. Similarly to the primary school level, there are individuals and organizations partnering with Wema Centre to aid specific beneficiaries in obtaining secondary education. These agreements are treated as distinct and managed separately by Wema Centre. The support provided under this category lasts for four years until the completion of formal secondary education.
