The Wema Centre successfully hosted its 2024 Charity Gala Dinner on 30th November 2024, themed “Arabian Nights,” at the Pride Inn Paradise Resort Beach and Spa. This event brought together approximately 400 attendees from Mombasa-based companies, local organizations and government officials from Kilifi County.
The dinner highlights the deliberate efforts Wema makes to transform the lives of Mombasa’s street connected children and emphasizes the need for continued support and funding from local businesses and organizations to sustain the Centre’s activities. Most importantly, the 2024 Gala Dinner allows us to thank our participants, supporters and funders for their commitment to our work.
The night was further enlivened by captivating performances from Richie Sax, the Wema Children’s Choir, and the Centre’s talented dance troupe. Guests also enjoyed an exciting auction, featuring a selection of exclusive prizes—including a premium class air ticket to any European destination, courtesy of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
