Why we run
Every kilometre tells a story.
Wemathon funds the moments that turn a child's life around: the rescue from a Mombasa street corner, the long path of rehabilitation and recovery, and the slower work of reuniting children with families ready to receive them.
When you run, sponsor or share Wemathon, you are buying time, food, medical care, school fees and — most importantly — the steady presence of caregivers, social workers and teachers who walk alongside each child for as long as they need.

Wemathon is open to club, professional and elite athletes. If you represent a county team, training camp or management group, apply for our dedicated elite entry — full kit, seeded start and prize purse on the line.
Applications close two weeks before race day.

Route & landmarks
Run it on the Bamburi Forest trails.
The whole event runs on the shaded, traffic-free trails of Bamburi Forest — no city streets, no road closures, just nature underfoot. Walk, run and cycle distances follow the established 10KM trail, and our professional athletes take on the 21KM half marathon as two laps of it. Final GPX and printable course map land closer to race day.
