It focuses on developing the technology knowledge and business acumen of owners of small businesses that are developing, under stress or in transition in local communities. StartUp! encompasses entrepreneurship training, combined with access to finance through established partnerships, ongoing coaching and mentorship to support the growing number of young people who want to start or grow a business.

The ceremony, whose theme was Nurturing Young Entrepreneurs was graced by succesful young business people from the Coast Region, representatives from local Community-Based Organizations, and Bamburi local Administration. Also in attendance was youth from the Bamburi area and current beneficiaries of the Wema Vocational training program.

The participants will use the skills gained through the StartUp! program to build successful and sustainable businesses by staying connected to local market opportunities, business services, and microfinance opportunities.

  1. Greatly appreciated this forum and it’s impact to youths after the trainings in your institution. Both their economic and social status change. As a DOT beneficiary I endorse your commendable good work. Delighted to inform you that I was awarded a 24 months 60% paid college scholarship by UFUNGUO SCHOLARSHIPS through DOT during my “Start-Up” training. God bless you always and kindly give the chances also to more others in the society.
